To spare yourself of headaches, heartaches, and expensive consequences, please take note of what I am going to share with you below.
Recently, there is a rise in phishing emails which you need to be very careful of. The emails are all coming from ‘Aweber‘ so far, and it leads me to think that there might be another spate of phishing emails from other fake Auto-responders as well.
This email is definitely NOT from Aweber and is just a phishing email to get your personal information- thus compromising the security of your information (username, password, etc).
The subject looks something like this (but may not be limited to only this format):
[Case AW-PX258UD] Your AWeber account has been flagged
If you have accidentally clicked on the links inside that email, the particular phishing site MIGHT have installed a keylogger into your PC to record everything which you type. I am not an expert in this, but in this case you may wish to download and install Malwarebytes to scan for any keyloggers or spywares.
Conclusion: Just be careful and always be careful of whichever emails which ask you to log into your accounts to change your passwords, or when they simply look suspicious.
